One of the most common requests I get in my practice is, “Can you make me a meal plan?” or “Do you have any recipe ideas to help me reach my health goals?” While I love providing this kind of support, I’ve noticed a few patterns: most clients don’t stick with pre-made plans long term, or they find the recipes don’t quite match their changing tastes or fit their family’s needs.
Another big factor? Boredom. Even though we thrive on routine, most of us still crave some variety—and the flexibility to adjust meals based on a change in schedule or what’s about to expire in the fridge. Empowering clients with the tools to build meals that align with their health goals is always the gold standard for long-term success – but having some tools, like a meal plan, can be incredibly helpful, especially in the beginning or during busy seasons in life.
Why?
Meal Plans/Planning…
- Provides a framework for building meals
- Eliminates the day to day stress and complexity of coming up with something to make
- Streamlines grocery shopping and eliminates food waste
- Creates real long-term change in how we plan, prepare and shop for meals, leading to lifestyle and behavioral health improvements long-term
Because so many of my clients were looking for something sustainable—but struggling to stay consistent—I knew I needed a better way to support them both short and long-term. So, I set out to find a platform that could deliver exactly what my clients were asking for—personalized meal inspiration, flexibility, and ease—while still allowing for high-level, customized nutrition guidance tailored to their unique goals and health needs.
Drumroll….
After a few months of exploring different options, I discovered the EatLove platform for professionals. In true dietitian fashion, I signed up, tested it out myself, and explored whether it could truly meet my clients’ needs and my standards for quality, ease, and evidence-based practice. I’m excited to share that starting this fall, I’ll be offering this to my 1:1 clients as an added tool in their nutrition toolbox— along with officially launching the WELL/PLAN Membership. This membership offers meal planning and grocery shopping tools, accountability and additional resources to help you reach your health goals. There will also be higher touch package options if you are looking for more support from the dietitian.
